True Knowledge with Wisdom

At David Hare Teachers Training College, our vision is to provide accessible teacher education that empowers aspiring educators from rural and semi-urban backgrounds to achieve professional excellence. We are dedicated to offering equal opportunities to all trainees, instilling academic competence, pedagogical skill, ethical values, and social responsibility. Recognizing our duty toward future teachers, we create a supportive, practice-oriented environment that nurtures their potential.

The College was established to meet the teacher-education needs of a rural region, particularly supporting learners from economically disadvantaged and first-generation educational backgrounds. We strive to reach trainees who face barriers due to financial constraints, social limitations, or limited academic exposure, enabling them to pursue professional teacher training with confidence.

From the beginning of each academic session, trainee needs remain our priority, ensuring our vision translates into practice. After orientation, faculty mentors closely monitor academic progress, teaching skills, and internship performance, providing guidance and counseling whenever required. When challenges arise, the College engages constructively with trainees and their families to support continuity in education and training.

Understanding that many trainees face financial hardship, the College provides library access, teaching-learning materials, and shared academic resources to minimize costs. Trainees benefit from practical teaching experiences, school internships, demonstration classes, micro-teaching sessions, and educational field visits that strengthen professional competence.

To evaluate trainee development, periodic internal assessments, practice-teaching reviews, and feedback sessions are conducted. Faculty identify areas needing improvement and provide targeted academic and pedagogical support. Our vision is shared by the entire institutional community, working collectively to prepare competent, reflective, and socially committed teachers.

Recognizing that financial difficulties may affect course completion, the College extends feasible support measures and flexible academic guidance to deserving trainees, helping reduce discontinuation and ensuring successful completion of teacher-education programmes.

Co-curricular and community-oriented activities enrich trainee engagement. The campus encourages cultural programmes, educational outreach, school-based activities, and value-education initiatives. Sports and wellness activities, along with indoor games and common-room facilities, promote balanced personal development and collegial interaction among trainees.

To enhance awareness of educational trends and career pathways, the library provides professional journals, newspapers, competitive-examination resources, and teacher-education materials. Trainees are encouraged to remain informed, reflective, and professionally prepared for evolving educational contexts.

David Hare Teachers Training College remains committed to realizing its vision of “True Knowledge with Wisdom,” preparing teachers not only for professional success but also for ethical leadership and meaningful contribution to society.
